MBA ENTRANCE EXAMS
There are many entrance exams for mba. In india CAT, MAT, IIFT, XAT, TANCET, NIMCET, Maharashtra CET etc. are held to select students for mba courses. In global level GMAT is prefered by most of the students. But now a days parents give pressure to their children to get a seat at iims, xlri etc. To get a seat at a b-school the student might give his full energy for preparation. Mba entrances covers quantitative aptitude, reasoning, english reading comprehension, business analysis, error spotting. Some of those entrances are followed by group discussion, personal interview. The problem for the students now is how to prepare for those exams? what topics they have to study? what are the top b-schools? and where they should go for guidance? Let we try to answer these questions.
COACHING REQUIRED FOR MBA ENTRANCES?
The eligibility criteria for writing GMAT,CAT examinations are 15 or 16 years of education in india in any discipline irrespective of whether the students are from a mathematics, sciences, engineering, medicine, etc background. Keeping in view the many different branches of the students the examiner was left with no alternative than prepare a question bank of the standard where all the above was commonly studied. ie. 10th standard and below. In this scenario, to answer a question of the standard 10th and below, by the above mentioned students said to ve having very high qualifications, IS COACHING REQUIRED? The answer to this question by a considerable percentage of students is No. As a result, a majority of these students with overconfidence and lack of understanding will get poor scoresl. The reality is coaching for the above said examinations is 100% required, irrespective of their profiles since the analytical approach required by the students towards the question is highly lacking. A question on a basic concept (namely addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) can be interpreted in different forms, as a result of which the student is unable to make a decision on what concept the question is given. He has to utilise more than the stipulated time, to solve one question, whereby he is no able to complete the total paper within the stipulated time. we have created short cuts to answer any problem, be it quantitative or verbal, High audio systems installed are a boon to students preparing for CAT, MAT, GMAT as the listening section is of utmost importance. Good scores in the verbal sections ensures his seat further help the student maximise his scores.
